APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Client uses Proprietary COBOL scanner to inventory COBOL code
  which contains SQL that has a statement that uses the ORDER BY
  syntax that specifies a column name.
  That column name is incorrectly being interpreted as a
  DB2 table name and added to the RAA inventory as such, although
  it is only visible in the DB2 Tables used by Program view, and
  not the DB2 Table Summary screen.

Problem summary

• Correlation names of tables as qualifier of columns used in
  ORDER BY clause of SELECT INTO statement were not resolved.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is to resolve the correlation names into table names
  and to output references to the columns in the ORDER BY clause.
  The fix affects clients with COBOL assets inventoried with the
  RAA
  Proprietary scanner who use SELECT INTO statements with order
  by clause containing column names qualified by correlations.
  To take advantage of the fix, once installed, clients must
  collect inventory again with post processing
  in order to resolve correlation names qualifying columns.
