  • When an HTTP request is sent from WPS SCA HTTP binding the HOST

forwarded to a proxy server which does not set the HOST header,
the request will result in a HTTP 404 error message.

    ****************************************************************
When forwarding requests using a reverse proxy server with SCA
HTTP binding, the HOST header is not set properly. In return,
a default HOST header is appended and the URL not constructed
    correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes have been made to both WebSphere Application
Server and WebSphere Process Server to accomodate this change.
A customer property must be configured to enable this function.
Users will add a new JVM custom property using the Admin
    Console. Navigate to:
Click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers >
server_name, under Server Infrastructure, click Java
and process management > Process definition > Java virtual
    machine > Custom Properties.
    Add the custom property,
    "com.ibm.websphere.sca.http.pooling.hcm.UseURLHostForHostHeader"
, with value "true". Repeat this step for all JVMs in the
    environment if required.

The APAR PM73544 must be installed in conjunection with PM69423.

Code changes have been integrated and will be in the next fix
    pack.
