U0500 abend in DMSMGET OFFSET=00000746 due to CKPT interval of 20 from remote node. CKPT interval should be at least 1K or better yet BLKSIZE or greater.
Local fix
Specify a reasonable CKPT interval, such as BLKSIZE or greater.
Problem summary
U0500 may occur when a process from another platform comes in with CKPT < 1K. CD/ZOS requires a minimum CKPT of 1K to avoid undue memory, CPU and I/O overhead.
Problem conclusion
Apply this update.
