  When DB2 for z/OS is started in ACCESS(MAINT) mode with the
  accelerator installed, these messages occurred:

                  IS NOT AVAILABLE
  
  Attempting to start the accelerator via command while in
  ACCESS(MAINT) mode also fails with MSGDSNX880I and a
  resource unavailable reason code 00D31055 and resource type
  00001000.

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  During DB2 start-up processing in maintenance mode, DB2
  attempts to start accelerator services. This leads to
  console message DSNX890I and DB2 accelerator services
  are not started.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 has been changed to disable accelerator services when DB2
  is started in maintenance mode.
