Error description

• This APAR includes fixes for a NullPointerException when
  restarting job and Unable to obtain Job Scheduler EJB on the
  endpoint.

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED:  All WebSphere Compute Grid Version 6.1.x    *
  *                  Parallel Job Manager users.                 *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Sub job submission failure due to the   *
  *                      inability to communicate to the Job     *
  *                      Scheduler EJB handler.  In addition,    *
  *                      NullPointerException on restart.        *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The problem is the result of a cached EJB reference no longer
  being valid.  The NullPointerException occurs because the
  BatchFileLoggerInfo object is null.
  

Problem conclusion

• Upon receipt of a RemoteException, the Job Scheduler EJB is
  obtained again and the operation is retried.  In addition, upon
  restart, the BatchFileLoggerInfo object is retrieved if it is
  null.
  This fix is available via iFix
  6.1.0.5-WS-WXDCG-MultiOS-IFPM71149.pak.
