  Definitions using "Initial User Required", "Required", or
  "KEY" property keywords can not be added as Symbols in SA/XT
  diagrams, the symbols are greyed out
  

Problem conclusion

• This is working as designed. The 'can be newed' property is set
  to 0. We didn't implement for XT the code that pops up a dialog
  that asks for required properties. In general, we cannot pop-up
  dialogs in XT. So the code is saying, if I ever need to create a
   definition for this symbol, I would have to ask for that proper
  ty and I have no way of doing that. So even though the definitio
  n is not created when you create the symbol, if you wanted to ed
  it and add the definition, there is no way to prompt, so hence t
  he existing code, so you can't create the symbol at all.
