APAR status

Error description

  • A retained LU0 processes can sometimes put an incomplete LU name
    in the NIB when released from a TCP API.  This results in the
    process failing with VTAM sense code 1001.
    

Local fix

    Circumvention:
    Do not release using TCP API.
    

Problem summary

  • HARTBEAT process fails due to truncated APPLID in NIB
    after RELEASE by TCP API.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Apply this update.

  • Do not RELEASE via TCP API.
