Error description

  • User is trying to create TEMPLATE using a File Manager batch
job using a very large copybook. It fails with ABENDB37-04 for
DDname FMNADATA on the compilation process. The copybook has
approximately 55,000 lines.

Problem summary


    

  • USERS AFFECTED: All File Manager Users

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABENDB37-04 is received on the
                       temporary ADATA data set (FMNADATA
                       when compiling a large copybook to
                       produce a template.

  RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.

The temporary data set FMNADATA used by the compilers is not
large enough. The internal allocation parameters need to be
adjusted.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • File Manager has been updated to increase the secondary
allocation parameter to avoid running out of space in the
FMNADATA data set.
