Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of CICS Transaction Gateway * * using channels and containers. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When CICS TG sends channel and * * container data to CICS over the IPIC * * protocol, transactions in CICS are * * abended with code AITJ. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When CICS TG sends channel and container data to CICS over the IPIC protocol, the data is split into 60k chunks. Some data must not be split across two chunks, however, in some situations CICS TG incorrectly splits data and sends it to CICS. Reading the incorrectly split data causes the reported CICS errors. The transaction is abended in CICS with abend code AITJ. The client application might become unresponsive.
Problem conclusion
CICS Transaction Gateway has been changed to rectify the error.
