• A result of null is returned when issuing getRealPath("\\")
  on a ServletContext

  When using getRealPath("\\") on a ServletContext, the Liberty
  Profile server always returns null.
  

Problem conclusion

• Modifications were made to return a path with a trailing
  backslash character when getRealPath("\\") was called for an
  expanded WAR.  In the case of a compressed .war file being
  deployed the server will still return null as allowed by the
  JEE specification.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.0.2. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
