  • After migrating a SOAP/JMS Web services application from WAS
6.0 to WAS 6.1, WSWS0046E error occurred during application
startup:

MetaDataLoade E   WSWS0046E: The JMS router MDB module
MyJMSRouter.jar does not contain a WebSphere IBM binding file.

After migrating a SOAP/JMS Web services application from WAS
6.0 to WAS 6.1, WSWS0046E error occurred during application
startup:
MetaDataLoade E   WSWS0046E: The JMS router MDB module
MyJMSRouter.jar does not contain a WebSphere IBM binding file.

Problem conclusion

  • Web services runtime logged the WSWS0046E error because the
MessageDrivenBeanBinding was no longer listed as the first
binding in ibm-ejb-jar-bnd.xmi file after migration.  Web
services code has been changed to handler this.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.47.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
