PM69815: AN ATTEMPT TO SEND A PDSE ( PO TYPE 3 ) RESULTS IN RC=0 ON THE RECEIVING SIDE, BUT SENDING SIDE SHOWS RC=00

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Transmission of PDSE files is not supported, however if this
  is attempted and a non-zero return code results on the
  receiving side, the sending side should show a nonzero RC as
  well.   If the receiving side for a PDSE PO type 3 fails with
  message:

Problem conclusion

• WHEN PDSE ARE TRANSMITTED THE RC>0 IS NOT PROPERLY MANAGED.
  WHEN IT IS COLLECTED AT RECEIVER IT IS NOT RETURNED TO SENDER.
  NOW IT WORKS.
  ANYWAY PDSE FILES ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY NFTP.
  THE PURPOSE OF THIS PAR IS ONLY TO INFORM THE SENDER THAT THE
  RECEIVER IS FAILING.
