Error description

When passing a long assembler program through the IDILANGX
process, we receive the following errors and then a condition
code of 0310:
 IDISF8231S Missing ENTRY ESD information.
 IDISF8233S Unable to determine identity of unnamed PC Section.
 IDISF8132S Input or Output file format invalid.

Local fix

  • If you are able to change the macro source of the assembler
program, put a name on the "START 12-32" statement it will
circumvent the problem.
e.g.
 LABEL1  ASMPROG
+        PRINT MCALL
+anyname START 128-32

The problem is triggered by this assembly being an 'unnamed
CSECT'.
