Error description

  • The problem is with the security using the DFSCCMD0 routine
with commands entered from the z/OS System Console (WTOR).
When the DFSCCMD0 is entered, CCMD_RTRM is set as it is for
    any static or ETO terminals.
So, there is no other way to differentiate the z/OS System
Console than to test the CTTDEVIC being equal to CTTDSYSC.
    .
Customer would like that at entry to the DFSCCMD0, the
CCMD_RQSTTYPE be set to a value indicating the request comes
from the WTOR (i:e: CCMD_RSYSC EQU 14 Z/OS Sytem Console)

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFSCCMD0 is not distinguishing a        *

    ****************************************************************
When entering commands from the z/OS System Console (WTOR),
DFSCCMD0 is entered and CCMD_RTRM is set as it is for
any static or ETO terminal. But if the command is from
the z/OS System Console, there is no way to differentiate
it other than testing that CTTDEVIC being equal to CTTDSYSC.
CCMD_RTRM needs to be set to represent the system console.

After applying this APAR (PM69539) the following problems
    could occur:
    #1 ----------
DFS060I U0000 IS AN INVALID MESSAGE KEY when commands
issued from WTOR on a system with ACF2's version of
    DFSCCMD0.
    .
ACFDCCM1 is rejecting commands from the WTOR.
ACF2 fix for this (updated exit) is TR54219.
    .
    CA Hyper RO54219 (04/03/2013 supersedes TR54219.
    #2 ----------
Additional information for Users of IMS ETO
    support V3.1 (ETOS)
    - After applying this APAR (PM69539) users receive
    message "DFS3662W hh:mm:ss COMMAND REJECTED BY DFSCCMD0"
for commands entered from the z/OS system console.
IZTCCMDZ requires update. Apply ETOS APAR PM76074/UK90989
    to correct.
    #3 ----------
Users of RACF and a customized version of IBM's DFSCCMD0 User
    Exit:
DFS060I U0000 IS AN INVALID MESSAGE KEY when commands
issued from WTOR on a system with a customized version of
DFSCCMD0 that has not been changed to include the new code added
    by this APAR.

Problem conclusion

  • GEN:
    KEYWORDS:

    *** END IMS KEYWORDS ***
DFSICIO1 has been modified to change the command request type
to '14'x indicating the request comes from the z/OS system
    console (WTOR).

DFSCCMD0 has been modified to recognize a z/OS console
    request.

DFSCCMD has been modified to add flag CCMD_RSYSC.
