Error description

• Stopping the Gateway daemon while a statics API program was
  connected to the Gateway daemon resulted in the following
  message:
  CEE5213S The signal SIGPIPE was received.
  The CICS TG statistics API program address space terminated
  with abend code A03.

  The CICS TG statistics API uses a TCP/IP connection to the
  Gateway daemon to obtain statistics information. If the
  Gateway daemon is shut down while there is a connection from
  an application using the statistics API, the TCP/IP connection
  is ended. This can result in the signal SIGPIPE being raised
  in the application program when a request to retrieve
  statistics is made. On z/OS the SIGPIPE is not handled by the
  API and the reported message CEE5213S and abendSA03 are
  received.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS TG has been corrected. The statistics API sets the SIGPIPE
  signal to be ignored and message CEE5213S is not written.
