This APAR changes the minimum access authority for Remote
Console Operations. Prior to this APAR this support required
CONTROL access authority level for all commands.

Problem conclusion

  • APAR PM69041 changes the access authority level required for
Remote Operator commands issued thru CDA from CONTROL to READ.
Prior to this APAR when the user invokes the SAFEXIT and the
exit is authorized to verify the authorization access level with
Validate = YES coded on the SAFEXIT parm for the OPER Service.
The minimum access authority level was CONTROL.
With this APAR the minimum access authority level was is changed
to READ. With READ access authority the user can connect to
the OPER service and issue the Display command. All other
Remote Operator commands such as SET, ADD, START and STOP
    still require CONTROL level authority.
