PM68522: WARNING MESSAGE REGARDING MS VISUAL C++ IS CONFUSING.

• Closed as documentation error.

Error description

• Customer installed C&DS 5.0 onto a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
  system.  After configuration completed, a warning message was
  returned that stated the following:
  
  Warning: Validate Operating System: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005
  Redistributable X64 is not installed.
  
  This message is confusing as there is no mention of this
  requirement (2005) in the documentation.  The doc only
  references Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Packages.
  
  In addition, since this requirement is missing, shouldn't the
  configuration have been stopped since all requirements are not
  met?  The fact that it returns the warning but does not indicate
  why this requirements is needed, leaves the customer guessing if
  their install/configuration is valid or not.  The customer then
  questioned whether or not they needed to rerun the configuration
  portion once the requirement was installed.
  

Local fix

• This issue will be addressed in a future release.
  The dependency on MS VC++ runtime libaries is for the
  "Adapters".   The message is just a warning and did not prevent
  any part of the configuration to fail.  The customer can install
  the MS VC++ 2005 redistributable afterwards and there is no need
  to reconfigure C&DS Server again.
