PM68141: INTERMITTENT S0C4 IN ITP3CLPA (OFFSET +6C)

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An intermittent S0C4 abend while running the log comparison
  program ITPCOMP. The problem appears to occur when there are
  significant differences in a changed screen.
  
  The problem appears to occur due to an issue with the Partition
  Control Block addressing.
  

Local fix

• Remove the ALL MASK control command causes the problem not to
  occur.

  pointer to the Partition Control Block. This causes the
  addressing of areas of memory that are not accessible to the
  program.

Problem conclusion

• A test was added to make sure the pointer to the Partition
  Control block was valid and usable.
