Error description

Problem Description:

After restarting the LDAP server. Application became
inaccessible from the WebSphere Application Server and
noticed this error SECJ0129E authorization failed for user

Error in the logs

SECJ0129E: Authorization failed for user
username:LDAPSERVER:389 while invoking GET on
default_host://snoop, Authorization failed, Not granted any of
the required roles: All Role

Local fix

Once LDAP is up and running . Restart the application server it
will fix the authorization problem

*                      Websphere Application Server, users     *
*                      are not able to access any              *

When Websphere Application Server starts before the LDAP
server, users will always get an authorization failure, when
trying to access any applications.

Problem conclusion

In this fix, the code has been modified to enhance the
functionality between the LDAP server and Websphere
Application Server.


The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.27, 8.0.0.5, 8.5.0.1.  Please refer to the
