• Issuing a clear operation on a map might cause large, but
  temporary memory utilization on remote domains. In some cases,
  this increase in memory utilization might cause OutOfMemory
  exceptions.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Running the ObjectMap.clear operation   *
  *                      in one catalog service domain results   *
  *                      in an OutOfMemoryError exception in     *
  *                      foreign domains.                        *

  When you run a clear operation on a foreign catalog
  service domain, a problem is identified.  The clear
  operation is applied as a single, large revision if possible.
  When you are applying this single revision to another catalog
  service domain, memory utilization might grow while deleting
  the entries that did not require collision arbitration.
  

Problem conclusion

• The clear operation was divided into multiple revisions to
  reduce transaction size and memory utilization.
  
  This fix is available in WebSphere eXtreme Scale 8.5 Fix
  Pack 1.
