Problem conclusion
This is a roll-up PTF. Refer to the Problem Description section for more detail. HOLD (DOC) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Also see the "IBM Content Manager Version 8 Release 4 Modification 3 Fix Pack 3 readme" at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/cmgmt/v8r4m0/--> -->topic/com.ibm.cmgmt843fpreadme.doc/fp3/about.htm for further information. HOLD (DOC) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Also see "System requirements: Hardware and software requirements for IBM Content Manager for z/OS Version 8.4.3 Fix Pack 3" at http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27036383 for further information. HOLD (DOC) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Also see "Fix list for IBM Content Manager Version 8.4.3 at http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27021609 for further information. HOLD (ACT) ---------------------------------------------------------------- You can use the IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS Job configuration tool to upgrade to V8.4.3 Fix Pack 3. If your product level, before upgrade, is at the V8.4.3 GA level, you must select the 'Fix pack upgrade only' panel (panel ID: ICMMFPLV) to customize your upgrade jobs. Enter 0 in the 'Fix pack number before the upgrade' field and 3 in the 'Fix pack number after the upgrade' field. If your product level, before upgrade, is not at the V8.4.3 GA level, you must select the 'Version, release, modification, and fix pack upgrade' panel (panel ID: ICMMUPLV) to customize your upgrade jobs. The tool will upgrade your system to the most current fix pack level of V8.4.3, even though the panel label reads 'upgrade to V8.4.3'. The minimum product level is V8.4 or above for upgrading to V8.4.3 FP2. HOLD (ACT) ---------------------------------------------------------------- If you are using the IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS High Volume Batch Load Utility, you must run the following jobs after you install this PTF: 1. Run ICMMBLB1 to rebind the DB2 plan for ICMPBL02. 2. Run ICMMBLG1 and ICMMBLG2 (or ICMMBLG3 if the library server and resource manager OAM are in different DB2 subsystems) to rebuild all the batch load programs. HOLD (ACT) ---------------------------------------------------------------- For newly-installed IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS V8.4.3 library servers, customize and run the ICMMLSCR, ICMMLSLD, ICMMLSBD, ICMMLSGT, and ICMMCACL post-installation jobs at the latest level to create a library server database, as described in the Planning and Installing Your Content Management System for z/OS guide. After you run the jobs, your library server will be at the base level and will require an upgrade to Fix Pack 3. To upgrade an existing IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS library server to the IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS V8.4.3 Fix Pack 3 level, perform the following steps: 1. Run the applicable steps of the ICMMLSUP library server database upgrade job, as documented in the comments within ICMMLSUP. 2. Run the ICMMLSBD library server bind job again. 3. Run the ICMMLSGT library server grant job again. 4. From a command prompt on the computer from which you run the Content Manager system administration client, run cmcfglsi -t comptypes again. (Note - if you have already installed Content Manager for z/OS v8.4.3 Toolkit Fix Pack 3, you may run the command from a Unix System Services shell under z/OS instead.) HOLD (ACT) ---------------------------------------------------------------- The following customizable JCL and data members are modified by this PTF. If you have modified the originals, you might want to compare them to the new versions: ICMMBIND - Updated the 'VALIDATE' keyword value ICMMCACL - Added a reminder comment to keep some DD in the 'PERM' step. ICMMCO - Updated list of exit names and their descriptions in the commnents area. ICMMHLLX - Updated the INCLUDE statement for ICMXLSLG ICMMLSCR - Added comment, sample, and ref for Data Encryption Added default value for ACLTYPE. ICMMLSLD - Set current version to Fix Pack 3. Added comment about deadlock prevention. Added comment, sample, and ref for Data Encryption ICMMLSUP - Set current version to Fix Pack 3. Added comment, sample, and ref for Data Encryption Added note about expected conds: adding indexes that already exist, or dropping some that do not. ICMMLXLJ - Updated list of exit names and their descriptions in the commnents area. ICMMLXLK - Removed refs to SMP/E. Replaced token ?SMP? with ?ICM?. Updated DD for object library, ICMRMQRY - Updated comment about cm83 with CM8.
