APAR status

Error description

  • In SYS1.PARMLIB(FMN1PARM) client entered the following
statement:

   FMOPTMOD DSNAME=SYSU.IFM.PDTT.SFMNMOD1,MEMBER=FMN1POPT

The IMS subsystem(s) were not found.

There is a problem with detecting correct subsystem when
accessing FMN1POPT (or equiv) via the FMOPTMOD parameter.

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *

When the FMOPTMOD parameter is specified in parmlib member
FMN1PARM, FM/IMS should load the FM/IMS installation options
module specified in this parameter. However, FM/IMS ignores this
parameter and, using the normal load library search sequence,
loads the FM/IMS installation options module from the first
FMN1POPT member that it finds, as it does when the parameter is
not specified.

Problem conclusion

  • FM/IMS has been modified to load the FM/IMS installation options
module specified in the FMOPTMOD parameter in parmlib member
FMN1PARM when it is specified in that member.
