Error description

  • Dump formatter DFHPD670 issues ABEND 878-18 due to attempted
FREEMAIN of a negative amount of storage, whilst processing a
dump.

*                      formatting a CICS dump using the TR     *
*                      option.                                 *

DFHPD670 is used to format a CICS dump with the TR option
specified. As part of the processing, storage is obtained
from MVS. When being freed, the length value is not set
correctly. As a result, an abend will occur if the value is
negative.

FREEMAIN procedure will use the length value it is passed.
