Error description

  • CICS recieves an DFHPG0002 A SEVERE ERROR (CODE
X'0E08') HAS OCCURRED IN MODULE DFHPGAI.
This error occurs during a the recovery routines of a
task (that is currently requesting a lock) being purged.
When this task is purged CICS recieves a PG 0E08
    Get_pglock_error:
    LM 0047 LMLM *EXC* TASK-REQUESTING-LOCK-HAS-BEEN-PURGED
    PG 0E03 PGAI *EXC* Recovery
    PG 0E08 PGAI *EXC* Get_pglock_error
This is similar to the problem addressed by APAR PM01428 which
addresses an error in the PGLDREC routine in DFHPGLD. In the
current case, the recovery routine PGAIREC in DFHPGAI needs
to be corrected so that it returns a purged response rather
    than returning an PGAI_DISASTER.

    ****************************************************************
A task was suspended waiting for the PGLOCK. Whilst it was
suspended the task was purged. The purged response was not
handled correctly by DFHPGAI's recovery routine ( PGAIREC )
which set a DISASTER response. This resulted in a DFHPG0002
Severe Error message accompanying a system dump.
    Keywords: MSGDFHPG0002 PG0002

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPGAI has been amended to handle a PURGED response and in
doing so will no longer issue the DFHPG0002 message that
    accompanies a system dump.
