  • When running DSC function, with a REXX procedure, receive
different results depending on whether or not a REXX trace has
been specified.

Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED: RECSOUT() function users.                    *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If RECSOUT(ddname) is coded before the  *
*                      associated WRITE(ddname) then for       *
*                      FASTREXX processing the wrong value     *
*                      is returned by the RECSOUT(ddname)      *
*                      function call.                          *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************
The RECSOUT(ddname) count value is being associated with the
wrong output file count field when the corresponding
WRITE(ddname) either follows the reference or doesn't exist.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • File Manager has been corrected to resolve RECSOUT(ddname)
references to following WRITE(ddname) statements and ensure
the count is zero if the ddname is not referenced.
