The com/ibm/ejs/container/util/ByteArray referenced by
com/ibm/ws390/orb/ClientDelegate was not cleared causing residue
reference to old objects belongs to stopped CCL.

Local fix

  • CCL leak triggered by restarting application. Preventing
application restart may bypass the problem.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: WebSphere Application Server for z/OS   *
*                      Servant Region caused a classloader     *
*                      leak when the application restarts.     *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

When an application is restarted, stale references to the
classloader for the previous instance of the application are
maintained, causing a classloader leak in the Servant
address space.

Problem conclusion

  • Code was updated so that when the application is restarted,
stale references to the classloader for the previous
instance of the application are removed.

APAR PM60815 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.25 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
