  The administrative console displays
  an error when a JBoss server
  is stopped because the middleware agent was not waiting for
  the JBoss process to stop before returning from the stop
  request, instead it was waiting until the stop command
  returned. This was causing the middleware agent to lose track
  of the status of the JBoss server.This problem is
  exasperated when the JBoss server takes a long time to stop.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code changes were made to the middleware agent to rectify the
  problem.
