Problem summary


    

  • USERS AFFECTED:
All users of CD/zOS/5.1.x.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
ABENDEC6 after TCP timeout with OA35080 applied (V1R11 and
above).

PLATFORMS AFFECTED:  z/OS

RECOMMENDATION:
After a TCP timeout, a CANCEL operation reused a control block
causing an exception condiiton in TCP.  APAR OA35080 produces
ABENDEC6 as a diagnostic to identify the problem.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Apply this update to prevent the reuse of the control block and
to prevent the ABENDEC6.
