Error description

After installing fix pack 7.0.0.21 from 7.0.0.19, you encounter
issues while using the Admin Console.  The symbolic link between
the config root and the install root for the console-defs.idx
in isclite is broken.  This causes the console-defs.idx to be
out of sync.

Admin console panels may be missing server information. You see
messages like the following:

In DefinitionsXmlParser parse Exception occurred org.xml.sax.
SAXParseException: The value of attribute "extends" associated
with an element type "definition" must not contain the '<'
character.
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The value of attribute "extends"
associated with an element type "definition" must not contain
the '< ' character.

Local fix

Relink the console-defs.idx in the config root and install root.
Note: these commands should be entered on one line
1. rm
<config_root>/systemApps/isclite.ear/isclite.war/WEB-INF/console
-defs.idx
2. ln -s
<install_root>/systemApps/isclite.ear/isclite.war/WEB-INF/consol
e-defs.idx
<config_root>/systemApps/isclite.ear/isclite.war/WEB-INF/console
-defs.idx

The link to the console-defs.idx file in the install root is
broken and the console-defs.idx file that is being used by the
console is out of date.

Problem conclusion

Relink the console-defs.idx file to the one in the
install root filesystem.

APAR PM58377 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.23 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
