PM58012: MERGECOPY GETS ABEND04E RC00E40119 AFTER PM30991 IS ACTIVE ON DB2 V10 AND THE SUBSYSTEM IS REMIGRATED 12/04/12 PTF PECHANGE

Error description

• After PM30991, in DB2 v10 CM8 a syscopy record with ICTYPE=L
  might be inserted; if the subsysystem goes through a fallback to
  DB2 v8 then MERGECOPY utility is unable to recognize this new
  type of record and abends with abend04e RC00E40119 in DSNUYAS2.

  With PM30991 applied on DB2 10 for z/OS, records with ICTYPE of
  'L' can be inserted to SYSIBM.SYSCOPY.  These records are not
  recognized by DB2 for z/OS V8 and DB2 9 for z/OS MERGECOPY
  utility, which causes the abend.

Problem conclusion

• MERGECOPY utility is modified to not abend when dealing with
  SYSIBM.SYSCOPY records with ICTYPE of 'L'.
