APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • 503's generated when the cluster that is being driven with
requests is a static cluster.

Local fix

  • Change the Static cluster to a Dynamic cluster and the 503's
will go away.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The on demand router is unable to       *
*                      route to the static cluster members     *
*                      sometimes.                              *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

The on demand router returns 503s when routing to static
cluster members because the application placement controller
did not properly calculate the power per cluster messages.

Problem conclusion

  • Power per cluster messages were corrected for static clusters.
