  When top level functions contained references to the
  mathlib.abs() function, and the argument passed to this
  function was not resolvable in the function (that is, the
  argument comes from the application that uses the function),
  migration failed to wrap the function in an assign(). This
  is because the resolution code did not know which of the
  overloaded abs() functions to resolve to.
  

Problem conclusion

• The resolution code has been changed so that, if the agument
  it null, it simply picks the first of the overloaded
  functions. This allows migration to complete successfully.
