PM56203: S0C4 ABEND IN FMNPBK

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using Copybook View and Print (FM 3.13) and viewing a COBOL
  copybook, the user gets an S0C4 abend in FMNPBK.  The compile
  options were set to 3. AUTO.
  

Local fix

• Set the compile options to point to a specific language, e.g.
  COBOL, rather than AUTO.

  File Manager does not initially acquire sufficient storage to
  report all elements in a copybook which contains array
  definitions and the 'Show array elements' option has been
  selected. Instead it acquires additional storage as required.
  If the field name including array subscripts cannot be
  accommodated in the field reserved for the name the name will
  be printed on a line and the field attributes printed on the
  next line.  In this situation if the end of the existing
  acquired storage is reached File Manager may abendS0C4.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Copybook Print utility will not abendS0C4 when printing a
  copybook which contains array definitions and the 'Show array
  elements' option has been selected.
