    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When page set is recovered using RECOVER utility BACKOUT YES
    option, not all the data or index entries associated with
    committed or/and inflight Unit of Recovery (UR) are
    completely backed out.Since all the necessary (identified) URs
    are not backed out, it leaves page set inconsistent at the end
    of RECOVER job. During LOGCSR phase of RECOVER BACKOUT YES
    processing, information about committed and aborted UR's log
    ranges were not built correctly from the checkpoint log records.
    This resulted in incorrect log range for LOGUNDO phase.

Problem conclusion

  • The DB2 log apply logic for RECOVER utility is modified so that
    the log range for uncommitted URs will be correctly calculated.
