Error description

  • When you try to link to an existing defect in CQ from RQM
Bridge, you get a list of every record type, stateless or
stateful. You will see record types like ratl_replicas, history,
OSLCLinks, groups, etc. in the list, in addition to the ones you
would expect to search on such as ALMRequest.

These record types should *not* show up on the list and this is
    confusing to users.

    Steps to reproduce:

    CQWeb 7.1.2.3 or 7.1.2.4
OSLC Links package 1.2 or 1.3
CQWeb using OOTB ALM Schema with OSLC Links package applied to
    ALMRequest, ALMTask, ALMProject.
RQM 3.0.1 with a QM project created with default vs3 process.
Friendship created between RQM and CQWeb.

    1. Login to RQM and Create a test plan and test case.
    2. Execute the test case to create a test result.
    3. Select the 'Defects' section in the result and then select
    'Link to an existing defect'
Note: there are other ways to get to the 'Link to an existing
defect'. Any way you get there to click on that is fine.
    4. The CQ 'Link to an existing defect' screen comes up. The
drop-down list of all record types is shown. In the attachment,
see the picture on the right.

When you try to link to an existing defect in CQ from RQM
using the OSLC Links Package, you get a list of every record
type, even the ones that are not enabled to use the package.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available in ClearQuest 8.0.0.3

A configuration setting was added in cqrest.properties to
    filter the non-OSLC-Package-Enabled record type.
