APAR status

Error description

  • Program check (ASRA) abend in WAS z/OS WOLA CICS Link sever
program BBOACLNK (transaction BBO#) when running with
STGPROT=YES and BBOACLNK defined with EXECKEY(USER)

Local fix

  • Redefine WOLA BBOACLNK program as EXECKEY(CICS) or run with
STGPROT=NO

Problem summary

WOLA CICS link invocation task calls to OT domain services for
transactions support need to run in CICS key.

Problem conclusion

  • The WOLA CICS link invocation task is changed  to save the
current key and switch to CICS key before calling CICS OT
domain services, then switch back to the saved key before
returning.

APAR PM53129 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Fix Pack 7.0.0.23 of WebSphere Application Server.
