    ****************************************************************
When using PROFILE MONITORING or when IFCID 400 or 401 are on
a storage leak can occur. This can result in one of the
    following abends:

    ABND04E RC00E2000C in DSNGEPLC.DSNSVSVB+0B10
    ABND04E RC00E2000C in DSNXODMH.DSNSVSVB+0B10
    ABND04E RC00E2000C in DSNXEDS1.DSNSVSVB+0B10

Problem conclusion

  • When an SKPT is removed from the EDM pool any SHTE control
blocks that were created for the SKPT that are not in use are
freed. DB2 code did not check the SHTE to see if storage had
been allocated for the statement text. The storage for the
statement text could be orphaned eventually causing the ABEND
with RC00E2000C. The code has been updated to free the storage
used for the statement text when the SHTE is freed.
