APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When performing a runtime refresh the fixes for APARs PM04834,
  and PM24372 are not enabled because the web.xml file was
  not properly merged.
  

Local fix

• Login to an OMVS shell or telnet with the Websphere
  administrative id (ie. WSADMIN or equivalent)
  
  For Network DeploymentManager setup:
  
  cd WAS_HOME/DeploymentManager/profiles/default/bin
  iscdeploy.sh -restoreProfiles
  
  
  For Base Application server setup:
  
  cd WAS_HOME/AppServer/profiles/default/bin
  iscdeploy.sh -restoreProfiles
  
  Restart the DeploymentManager or Base application server.

Problem conclusion

• A call to iscdeploy -restoreProfiles was added to
  merge the web.xml correctly so the user will have the fix
  contained in the web.xml after the runtime refresh is performed.
  
  APAR PM49851 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
  Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.41 of WebSphere Application Server V6.1.
