• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When PF3 is entered from FM/IMS panel 'Browse: Database
  Positioning', receive the following messages:
  
   IRX0250E System abend code 978, reason code 00000004
   IRX0255E Abend in host command SELECT or address environment
   routine ISPEXEC

  *                      X'2C36'.                                *
  *                      2. Some characters of the DD names      *
  *                      displayed on the Database Data Set      *
  *                      Specification panel are blanked out.    *
  *                      The problem occurs in the Edit or       *
  *                      Browse dialog when using a new or an    *
  *                      existing view.                          *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  Both of these problems are caused by a storage overlay. This
  overlay may cause other unpredictable results.
  

Problem conclusion

• File Manager IMS has been modified to stop the storage overlay
  occurring.
