Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: DB2 9 and 10 for z/OS users of spatial index *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ENVID for spatial indexes is not being *
    * stored in the SYSINDEXES catalog table. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The internal environment identifier, ENVID, is not being stored
    in catalog table SYSIBM.SYSINDEXES on CREATE INDEX for spatial
    indexes.

Problem conclusion

  • Catalog field SYSINDEXES.ENVID is now being properly stored.

    This does not affect any current DB2 functionality. However,
    if users would like to fix their SYSINDEXES.ENVID value, they
    may drop and recreate their spatial indexes after this PTF is
    applied.
