Error description

  • Source Comment not updated after field properties modify in BMS
Map Editor

Repro:
1) Open existing BMS map in BMS Map Editor
2) Check source for field e.g. M-TASTO-PF12
3) Right click on field M-TASTO-PF12
4) Click field properties from context menu
5) Update PF12 to PF13 in Name and Initial Value
6) In the source, the comment above the field definitions is not
updated.

  • Source Comment not updated after field properties.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • With this fix, if the field name changes, then the SDF2 comment
associated with the field will be updated to replace the old
field name with this new name.

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.1 Fix Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
