Error description

  • When using FM DSC function, and the output dataset is a
sequential file rather than a PDS, members selected for copy are
not copied to the output dataset.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. When using the FM Copy utility to    *
*                      copy PDS members to a flat file the     *
*                      selected members are not copied.        *
*                      2. When using the FM Copy utility to    *
*                      generate batch JCL to copy PDS members  *
*                      the CPYMBR parameter is not being       *
*                      generated for the selected members.     *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************
The selected members are not being recognized when the output
data set is a flat file or batch JCL is to be generated.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • 1. The selected members will be copied when copying to a flat
file.
2. The CPYMBR parameter will be included in the generated JCL
for the members which have been selected to be copied.
