PM48158: PROFILE MANAGEMENT TOOL NOT DETECTING ERROR WHEN FEATURE PACK FOR XML PROFILE AUGMENTATION FAILS

Error description

• When an error occurs during profile augmentation for the
  Feature Pack for XML, the Profile Management Tool will not
  detect the error and will report the augmentation as
  successful. However you will not be able to use the feature
  pack for XML due to errors during the augmentation.

  The code used for augmenting the Feature Pack for XML fails to
  catch any exceptions thrown during the augmentation process.
  Thus a failed profile augmentation will be shown as
  successful. You will only notice the issue when running your
  applications and seeing ClassNotFoundExceptions or
  NoClassDefFoundErrors when accessing Feature Pack for XML
  classes. That is usually an indication to check if the server
  profile was properly augmented.
  

Problem conclusion

• All exceptions are now caught during profile augmentation and
  proper error exit codes are used to allow the Profile
  Management Tool to notify the user that augmentation failed.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 1.0.0.11. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
