PM47584: BATCH EDIT FAILS WITH AN S0C4 WHEN PROCESSING A VIEWIMS CALL.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Batch edit fails with an S0C4 when processing a VIEWIMS call
  using a partial key value.
  
  Using a HIDAM database, user attempts to read it using a view,
  with selection criteria set to a partial root key.  This should
  generate a qualified SSA of the form: GE partial key||low-values
  and LE partial key||high-values.  Since the database is HIDAM,
  this should work.
  
  In batch it gets a S0C4 in the VIEWIMS command; it doesn t even
  do any IMS calls.
  
  In ISPF it creates an SSA but it is simply the root segment with
  no other criteria, so it reads the wrong segment. The result is
  a blank screen.
