PM44338: performance issue when importing entity definitions into encyclopedia

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Client is using SA 11.4.0.3 + Oracle 10g, they got performance
  issue when try to import entity definition into encyclopedia,
  when they try to import a csv with about 1400 rows, it take
  several days to import the csv file.
  
  Workaround:
  
  In the sa2001.ini file, under the [SystemArchitect] section
  enter DisableMirroring=Y
  
  Do the import
  
  Then in the sa2001.ini file set DisableMirroring=N

  Client is using SA 11.4.0.3 + Oracle 10g, they got

Problem conclusion

• Other improvements to performance have been made in the
  11.4.2.2 release which addressed this issue. In addition
  using SQL Server improves performance over using Oracle. The
  client has upgraded to version 11.4.2.2 and is now using SQL
  Server, and accept the performance. The client has agreed to
  close the case.
