Once you come back, as per design the previously viewed log will be saved as a link, so that if you want to view the same log in future you can directly select the Link. But in V6.1 when user comes back after viewing the TPV player you encounter an Exception in console like this: [ServletException in:/com/ibm/ws/console.tpv/genericTableLayout.jsp] java.lang.Boolean incompatible with java.lang.String' This is due to the fact that the JSP being used checks for type of String but the value which it is receiving of type Boolean.
Problem conclusion
The above problem is due to the fact that a value of type Boolean is returned instead of String. Code has been corrected to make sure that the right type and value is returned and verified that the link to the log file previously viewed is presented instead of the exception The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 6.1.0.43.
