Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of File Manager, DB2 component, * * options 4.3 and 4.4, entering free-form * * SELECT SQL statements. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. Unicode conversion error "UNICODE * * conversion error codepage 1208 to * * codepage 37. Return code 4, reason code * * 7 from CUNLCNV routine." displaying the * * result table for a query involving an * * SQL register and a DB2 catalog table. * * The target DB2 system is at DB2 version * * 8, new function mode or later. * * 2. In the FM/DB2 editor, with HEX ON, * * spurious periods displayed on the * * line containing the first hex * * character. * * 3. In FM/DB2, Basic SQL Prototyping, * * message 'ISPP100 Panel "FMN2FBPF" * * error. Panel not found.' after * * pressing PF1, with the cursor located * * on the scrollable field indicator for * * the FROM clause. Similar errors * * occur when the cursor is on the * * scrollable field indicator for the * * WHERE and ORDER BY clauses (missing * * panels FMN2FBPG, FMN2FBPH). * * 4. In the FM/DB2 Object list utility, * * ABENDS0C4 RC01 after typing SQL on the * * "Comment Table" panel. * * 5. In the FM/DB2 Object list utility, * * an edit session showing an FM/DB2 * * batch job is presented after typing * * the P command. * * 6. In the FM/DB2 Print Utility, batch * * execution, the null display indicator * * value (NULLIND keyword) is ignored. * * 7. In FM/DB2 import, an incorrect * * value is shown for "duplicate row(s) * * not imported". * * 8. In FM/DB2 DB2 Object functions, * * message "message 2616 not found in * * table" attempting to drop a TYPE. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF. * **************************************************************** 1. The problem can be demonstrated with the following SELECT SQL statement: 'SELECT USER,NAME FROM SYSIBM.SYSCOLUMNS'. An internal reference table is built incorrectly when a special register is combined with columns of a DB2 catalog table. 2. The problem occurs in TABL display mode, when the left-most column displayed shows the right-most portion of a varying character field. An ISPF attribute character is erroneously translated to x'4B' (an EBCDIC period). 3. An invalid field level help panel is specified in the panel logic. 4. An invalid SELECT statement is passed to ISPF. 5. The P (Print) command in the Object List utility is intended to work only in on-line mode. 6. The wrong variable is used internally, when processing the option value. 7. The wrong variable is used to report the number of duplicate row errors in message fmndb803. 8. A message entry is missing.
Problem conclusion
File Manager DB2 component has been changed to correct the problems.
