A NullPointerException may occur while marshalling a document
with an element which has an xsi:type attribute.

When running a JAXB or JAX-WS application, a
NullPointerException may occur when attempting to marshal a
document containing an element which has an xsi:type attribute.

Problem conclusion

The issue was fixed by adding a required null check within the
JAXB Marshaller.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.21 and 8.0.0.2. Please refer to the Recommended
