A solution is needed to have OPSTAT automatically selecting
the oldest operation, in terms of occurrence IA, among the
eligible operations of the ready list, when the input
arrival time is not specified as parameter.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

Comments

  • This apar adds a new keyword, SORTIA, to be specified as
input parameter to OPSTAT when the workstation name,
the application name and operation number are specified
while neither input arrival, nor token are specified in
OPSTAT. SORTIA will make the code choose the
oldest operation among the eligible ones in the ready list.
In all the other cases, keyword SORTIA specified
as OPSTAT input parameter will be ignored.
