APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After migrating to FM V10.1 and setting options, AUDIT=NONE and
AUDITBROWSE=N in FMN2POPT, editing still creates an audit file.

When AUDIT=NONE is specified variable FMN2EOAU is no longer
accessible, so the user cannot change it.  However this
variable is still used for the initial setting of the editor
audit option, so an existing ON value turns edit audit on
erroneously.

Local fix

  • Suggest the customer delete or rename the FMN2* members in the
ISPF profile data set as a work-around.

*                      not been selected and AUDIT=NONE has    *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************
The AUDIT=NONE option is being ignored when deciding whether
logging is required.

Problem conclusion

  • FM/DB2 has been changed to correct this problem.
